I've inserted most of my cards and keys to be mailed into a bank change envelope (they are free for the asking) before inserting the bank envelope into the actual stamped mailing envelope. A small piece of scotch tape anchoring the bank envelope to the inside of the mailing envelope does not hurt either. The hotel self-checkout room key envelopes work well too.
