Since I'm in NJ, eBay started adding sales tax to my purchases beginning May 1st since I live in NJ. And the sales tax is also on the shipping cost as well. Other states are following suit if not already started. Just one more added cost to keep in mind and eBay is not indicating the extra cost until you go to checkout and attempt to pay for the purchase. On top of that, the receipt email from PayPal breaks down the payments to the seller vs sales tax, with the sales tax showing as a separate transaction via PayPal. So the PayPal receipt email for a simple transaction on eBay is now 2-3 pages!
