ChipGuide Slot Card Info

Just a quick update on the slot card info being added to the ChipGuide....

We now have most of the USA done, there's less than 25 casinos left to work on (not counting race tracks and cruise ships) and most of those have some issues we need to resolve before they get completed on the ChipGuide.

Besides the USA, we've also completed all of Canada and most of Australia and New Zealand.

There has been some reorganization of information both in the slot card guide and on the ChipGuide as we attempt to get everything in sync. So some issue numbers may have changed or some cards may be listed slightly different from what was in previous slot card guides.

Most of the slot cards that appear in the Universal Slot Card section of the slot card guide are listed under Casino Management in the Other Stuff section on the ChipGuide. These same entries may show up under various state listings where appropriate.

There's a new feature on the ChipGuide that allows us to add a yellow band link that can guide you to earlier or later listings, or related listings in other areas by simply clicking on the link with the note.

There have also been a few fixes to the ChipGuide to allow better displaying the slot card images in some areas. One of the early changes was the ability to display both sides of the slot card on the same web page by just clicking on the scan shown in the entry. Once you have that web page displayed with both sides of the card shown you can then use that URL to send a link to someone else or post on the boards, etc. One note though, whichever side of the card you click on will be the top or left side displayed on the larger page when both sides are shown.

Lots of other changes and additions so hopefully everyone is finding the new information useful and finding their way around the listings.

If you come across any cards not listed or have scans to fill in any holes where they're missing on the ChipGuide you can send them directly to me or submit them to the ChipGuide and we'll get them added as soon as possible. New submissions to the ChipGuide will normally be copied to me anyway so the slot card guide is kept in sync with the ChipGuide as we move forward. Plus I'll try to remember to keep posting info on new additions as they're reported.

By the way, you can sign up for the ChipGuide News Service that will send you a daily email with a list of all the recent changes and additions on the website, complete with small scans of each entry. Right now it includes info on everything on the ChipGuide but eventually you may have the ability to limit emails to just cover whatever you're interested in.

One guick note - we have been ignoring the various stickers on the cards and only listing the basic card variations. Any stickers that may appear in the scans are only there because we might not have had a card without stickers.
