It ain't worth hassling my window clerk who is probably following orders from his supervisor. It's no big deal to me. Sometimes I get away with it ... sometimes I don't. I personally find that the RR's go just fine without the additional taping that is required by the RR organizers. I try to follow the rules. If any of you have received recent RR mailing from me ... you will see that I've added about a 4-inch strip of priority tape at the ends of the top flap.

Maybe some mailers are going way overboard with the free tape they get from USPS that they would not ordinarily use so much of if they had to pay for it ... which is why the USPS may be cracking down??
